Bill earned a B.A., in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado, and holds post-graduate certificates in strategic marketing from Cornell and Nonprofit Management from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Board Roles and Responsibilities

Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission.

Board members are stewards of Dare to Care for the Homeless and this includes fundraising.

A seasoned management consultant and entrepreneur of 10 years, Markus Biegel has provided his expertise to hundreds of CEOs and business owners across the United States, Europe, South America and Asia, in a diverse range of industries spanning from technology to fashion. Currently the senior vice president of business development at Allied Protection Services, Biegel is responsible for securing and managing partnership opportunities, providing security guard services to large-scale national construction firms and U.S. government agencies. 

Faith Abbey has over 10 years’ experience working and volunteering with the Voluntary and Community Sector in the United Kingdom and Africa. The realities facing people across the diversity stands and a passion to make an actual, sustainable difference has been the basis of Faith’s educational and professional background to date.
The development of projects and programmes that resolve homelessness and contributing to the global conversations about homelessness and the causes of homelessness is an area that Faith’s experience, understanding and approach can make a real difference in. 

Berenice Dena   is a Long Beach California local business owner and resident in the area of Bixby Knolls. Justin "JTIME"

Pro Bono Music Producer/ Audio Engineer/ Song Writer

 got his start while in middle school, playing in the school band, learning to read music which then led to learning music theory and song composition. It was then only natural for Justin to experiment with beat making using a keyboard and  a mpc. One could imagine taking over the world with just these two weapons of choice. Justin then started college in 2005 and graduated in two years with a bachelors in entertainment business and an associates in recording arts from Full Sail Unviversity.  With Justin's education and with placements in radio spots, xbox 360 shows " HIP HOP 360"- it is clear to see , "JTIME" was made for this industry.

Theo Sison

​​Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, IHS Markit Theo Sison manages IT infrastructure and operations globally for IHS Markit, and he ensures that systems and infrastructure anticipate both current and future needs and are efficient and secure while employing innovative strategies and architectures. Theo was previously the Principal Architect of BCBG Max Azria where led the Architecture and Engineering Teams. Theo has worked in a variety of industries including Education, Business Consulting, IT Security, Financial Services, Government and NGOs.

Duty of obedience: Board members must ensure that the organization complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and that it remains committed to its established mission.

Chuck is originally from North Carolina and has relocated to the greater Los Angeles Area. Chuck is currently a scout for Wefunder, a wildly successful equity crowdfunding platform.  WeFunder has helped Beta Bionics, LegionM and Hops & Grains raise $1MM each.

Foundation History

  1. 2008 - Founders legally establish the foundation.
  2. 2010 -D2C4H gets approved as a 501(3) not for profit corporation
  3. 2011 -The first Hygiene Drive for the Homeless campaign launched under the leadership of Elsa Ramos from the Long Beach Multi-Service Center.
